Tips on how to play online video slots | Beginner guide
For over a hundred years, slots machines were the most common and popular source of entertainment. However, they have now evolved into a more modern variant known as video slots. Today, the game is very popular in live casinos, and their virtual counterparts attract legions of players. With the increasing availability of the internet, there are a wide variety of video slot machines to play in virtual casinos today, ranging from the simple “One Armed Bandit” to the latest high-tech video slots.
Although the game can be played with little to no background knowledge or previous experience, it is still vital to understand the basics of how the game works. Doing so will help you in making the most of your gambling experience. But before we begin how to play video slots, first, let's see what it is.
What is video slots online?
Though classic slots are still prevalent among gamblers, their video versions have started to gain more attention in recent years. One of the main reasons for its increase in popularity is its ease and high entertainment value, which appeals to newbies and experienced players.
As the name suggests, video slots are an on-screen version of a land-based slot game. Rather than using a lever and a simple reel mechanism, the game is played on a video screen, with the player pressing a button in order to start the action. When you think of a traditional slot machine, you might picture a three-reel slot machine with a lever on one side to get the reels spin. Fruit symbols, sevens, dollar signs, horseshoes, and bells are probably to appear as symbols here. However, video slots are different. Because of its digital nature, it provides a wide range of dynamic graphics, sounds, animations, and themes that gives an interactive experience.
Video slots are significantly more extensive than their one-armed bandit counterparts. They are played over five reels instead of three. Furthermore, they are likely to have a large number of paylines. Apart from thematic symbols, there are also going to be special symbols. The wagering range is substantially broader, and the prizes tend to be far more valuable.
Due to technological evolution, you can play the game based on your preferred TV shows, movies, fantastical lands, comic books, famous figures, etc. When playing the game online, there are better possibilities for side games, bonuses, and features to keep you entertained. This is just one of the reasons why gamers are drawn to this kind of play. With the rise in digital casinos, many traditional casino games like online coin machines have moved online.
Furthermore, unlike most reel slots machines, video slots have a higher maximum for bets. They usually have a significantly higher number of paylines, and the more paylines there are, the more coins you could be able to bet. Despite advancements in technology, the gameplay is relatively the same.
Video slots features
If you want to learn how to win big at slots, you must first comprehend what features the games have to offer and what you are actually playing for. You can play online slot games without knowing the different elements, but this will make the gameplay boring. As we play slots to have some fun, it is crucial to get familiar with its different features.
Reels:
Slot reels are the vertical positions on the grid where different symbols land in various combinations. By matching the appropriate symbols, you win the game. There are more than three or more reels. The most popular slots, however, are 3-reel and 5-reel slots.
Paylines:
A payline is a pattern on the reels that the game reads to see if you have hit a winning combination or not. Usually, in most online slot games, the paylines move from left to right. However, in some, they move both ways. Some are straight lines, whereas others are zig-zagged. A win occurs when you get identical symbols on an active payline. There are certain symbols that are more valuable than others. The more you land on the highest value paying symbol, the bigger your win will be.
Scatter symbol:
In each video slot game, scatters are your best friends. Normally, there are scatters in every slot game. It’s rare not to have these symbols. But if that is the case, they can be replaced with other symbols, such as bonus symbols, which perform in a similar way. The reason these symbols are excellent company is their capability to activate bonus games, like mini-games, free spins, or other bonus rounds.
Wilds:
You might have often heard the term ‘wild card’ across many different games. This usually means a card that can substitute for any other card that you may want in order to win. With slots, it means the same. Wilds are one of the most common symbol features in the slot game. It is typically used to help you complete a winning combination that would otherwise be incomplete. They can be either simple logos or present as heroes, depending on the theme. Wild symbols offer you to win big in free slots.
Bonus round:
It is a popular feature in the slot game that grants extra winnings. The bonus you receive could be anything, like picking one of the three chests, a chance to spin the bonus wheel, mini-games, etc. Prizes that you win during the bonus round are always for free.
How to play video slots?
No matter how fancy the graphics are, online casino slots machines all work in the same way. Before you start playing, you must check the paytable, provided by every online slot gaming app. It will show you which symbols are the best and if they have any bonus rounds or unique features.
All video slots contain a set number of columns called reels, which displays the symbols. Despite the fact that each game has its own variations, every slot machine uses a random number generator (RNG). As the name implies, this technology assures that the symbols displayed on the reels are chosen at random and that the game and the outcome of each spin is fair.
Once you select the bet size, press the spin button or the lever and see what fate has in store for you. If three identical symbols stop in successive positions on any of the bet lines, you will win. Payouts may vary depending on the number of paylines the slot machine has.
Many slots websites also give you an option of an autoplay feature. This mode allows you to sit back and let your computer do the spinning for you. Once you click on it, you can set up as many as a number of spins before you start playing. Some online apps or sites also offer to spin the reels for you until you stop it. Once selected, the machine will keep spinning, displaying the outcomes and then moving on to the next spin. Generally, you can begin by pressing the “autoplay” button, which is usually located on the main screen.
Where to play online video slots?
Video slots are games of luck that do not require any strategy or skill to win. This is the most significant edge over other card and table games. They increase your chances of winning and make the gameplay more enjoyable. Now that you know what the features are and how to play slots, why not try the game on Gamentio and apply theory into practice. The site allows you to play video slots casino for fun that too for free and win tons of coins. Solitaire variations: Top 5 online variations of solitaire

The solitaire card game is said to have first appeared over 200 years ago. Presently, there are dozens of variations of solitaire, but the game was played with real cards well before computers were invented. And, while there are still some debates about who started playing the game first, one thing is sure: it makes users addicted. Such a result is quite surprising as it is the only card game with no special effects.
But, what if nobody is around you, or when you are looking for ways to kill time when you are on your own? This is where casino solitaire card games come to your rescue.
Agree or not?
Solitaire is something that keeps you entertained and offers hours of enjoyment. Since you are playing against yourself, the games tend to be less competitive, and you can play at your own pace. Choosing this game for your leisure is an excellent way to calm your mind. But, with so many variations to choose from, struggle which one to pick? Let’s look at the top 5 types of solitaire variations you can pick as per your preference.
Klondike solitaire
This is one of the most popular versions of solitaire. Klondike solitaire is the version that most people know and love. It is also recognized as fascination and demon patience. Klondike casino solitaire, sometimes, is often mistakenly known as Canfield. In this variation, 28 cards are dealt face down to form a tableau which consists of seven columns of cards arranged on the table with the top card face up. The rest cards are placed face down to form the draw pile. The objective of the game is to build the four foundation stacks in ascending suit sequence from aces up through kings.
Spider solitaire
In terms of popularity, spider solitaire is close behind Klondike solitaire. Spider solitaire is suitable for players of all ages. This is because the level can be modified just by selecting how many decks you want to include. Although it is a fun game, but by following some spider solitaire strategy, you can increase your winning chances. It gets its name from the fact that your goal is to make eight sequences of the same suit in order from Ace through King, which corresponds to the number of legs a spider has.
In this version, there are no foundations. Two decks of cards are used. Once 54 cards are dealt out in a tableau of ten piles, the game begins. Columns of cards remain in the tableau until you line up an entire column of a suit in order, from King down to Ace, at the point from which they are removed from the game. But, if you run out of the moves, you can take fresh cards. The 50 cards that are left in the stock are dealt out 10 at a time.
Freecell solitaire
Freecell solitaire is a personal favourite of mine. A single deck of 52 cards are dealt face-up into eight columns at the start of the game. There is no leftover deck in this solitaire variant. There are four foundation piles that are set above the tableau piles. Like other variants, the aim is to build cards from each suit from ace through king in ascending sequence. However, in addition to these foundation piles, there are storage cells that you can use to temporarily store a card from every bottom column, and this is where the real fun of this variant lies. In the tableau, the cards are placed in alternating colours, and the sequences can be moved between columns - but only using available cells, whereas any card can be used to fill a space created in the tableau.
Pyramid solitaire
This version of casino solitaire is also known as Solitaire 13 or Pile of 28. It has very basic rules, and you can play each hand in a few minutes. This variation is perfect for those who have a few minutes to kill time. It also involves some tricky strategic thinking. The game is played with a standard 52 deck of cards. The objective of the game is to move pairs of cards that add up to the total value of 13 points from the pyramid down to the foundation pile.
The game set-up includes arranging 28 cards face-up in a pyramid-shaped tableau of seven levels. The remaining cards become the stockpile. The pairs can be created from two exposed cards in the pyramid or by pairing a pyramid card with another card when it is drawn from the draw pile. In this version, the King is worth a point value of 13 points, the Queen is worth 12 points, the jack is 11 points, and the ace is 1 point. The remaining cards carry their face value. Once all the cards are paired as well as removed from the table, you win the game.
Tripeaks solitaire
New or experienced players can quite easily understand this game. This type of solitaire game is different from other card games. In this variant, you are trying to destroy pyramids or peaks rather than completing decks by number or suit. Tripeaks earned its name because of its unique layout of the cards. The game is played with 52 cards of deck. Tripeaks objective is to remove all the cards from the tableau. To do so, you must dismantle the pyramids by creating sequences of cards that must be lower or higher by one than the previous one, irrespective of the suit. For example, a 6 of Clubs can form a sequence with a 5 of Hearts or a 7 of Diamonds, and so on.
The cards removed from the pyramid are sent to the discard pile. So, the top card of this pile becomes the base for the next sequence. If you run out of the move, you can use the stockpile and send a different card to the discard pile, which can be used as the sequence base. When all the cards in your peaks/pyramid have been put in the waste pile, you will win the game.
So, there you have it - the list of most popular solitaire variations that you can play online. Don’t have a deck of playing cards lying around? You can online anytime, anywhere from the comfort of your home. So, ease your boredom while making your brain stronger, try these variations of solitaire. Strengthen your strategic skills, play solitaire for free and have a great time at the same time!

Unity Vs Unreal: Which game engine is better to build 3D card games?
Card games are amongst the oldest category of games and have been popular for ages. Ever since they are available online, they are even more sought-after for their accessibility, game variety, pace of play, availability of multiple tables simultaneously, and more. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that online card games have taken the video game industry by storm, known for its strategic gameplay and engaging mechanics.
Let’s look at what really goes into making a good 3D card game.
Card Game Development: The Process and Requirements
To create a 3D card game, you need —
-
Game Concept
Game Concept is an idea for a game that includes the game's vision, game mechanisms, features, and goals. It acts as a guide for card game developers throughout the development process. It must include information such as your target platform, genre, audience, theme, story, characters, gameplay, art style, sound, and UI UX design plans..
-
Good Research
Game research focuses on understanding player’s behavior, interactions, and experiences in video games. This data is used to improve games, remove bugs, and enhance player experience.
-
A Good Card Game Development Company
When looking for a card game development company, choose one that’s reliable with a skilled team of card game app developers, concept artists, designers, testers and marketing team that will deliver high-quality, revenue-generating game software services.

Our games come packed with features like reward and referral programs, multi-platform capability, anti-fraud system, in-game rewards, social media integration, and so on
-
Game Prototyping
This involves creating a raw, playable version of the game to test the video game’s mechanics and functionality and refine the user experience, gameplay, mechanics, and art direction. Prototyping at an early stage always allows us to experiment with our game concept, receive feedback, identify problems, and iterate on our design.
-
Game Development
Post prototyping, the game is developed by choosing the creative software, deciding on a game engine, and selecting a programming language to code the game. During this stage of development, developers start scripting code for the game.
-
Resolution of all Issues
Fixing issues at the earliest stage of the game development process makes sure the game meets a required standard and has all the necessary features, settings, designs, sound effects and visual effects that it needs. The usability of the game is optimized to enhance the overall user experience of the game.
-
Quality Assurance
The game is tested for its ease-of-use and intractability and any bugs, glitches or errors are fixed. We make sure that our game is accessible to all, including players with disabilities.
Unity Vs Unreal Engine? Factors to Consider When Choosing the Right Engine
It is during the initial stage of the card game development process that we decide upon the game engine. Unity versus Unreal is an important distinction for most card game developers. While the former is known to be suitable for mobile and web applications along with its performance development, the latter is considered great for huge large-scale projects that require high performance from the hardware. The decision for choosing the game engine depends on several factors, like the project, its requirements, the team, their personal style, and the target audience.
So this blog is about to help you make that decision for your next card game project. It will also help you decide whether you sign-up for a Unity game development company or go the Unreal way for your game idea.
Let’s look at the key features that our company has leveraged over the years to create good 3D card games applications.

UNITY OR UNREAL? - The Logic Simplified View
Image Caption: 3D Rummy Game developed by Logic Simplified
Unity 3D is popular for many reasons. For years, game app developers at Logic Simplified have been using Unity 3D for its tools.. The platform’s seamless integration of 2D and 3D elements, along with its advanced physics engine, ensures that Unity 3D games deliver engaging and immersive gaming experiences. The ProBuilder editor has not just helped us build simple geometry but perform detailed editing and UV unwrapping. We have leveraged Unity's seamless capabilities with digital content-creation tools such as Maya. Such tools have helped us enhance and refine models with additional detailing and polishing. Using Unity and its advanced capabilities, we have successfully developed 3D card games with an intuitive interface for seamless navigation through game components, rules, and scoring. The Unity Asset store offers access to trending 3D, GUI, environment, and scripting assets. This has helped our game developers expedite the process of card games development and allowed us to deliver an interactive and immersive gaming experience to the users.
On the other hand, Unreal has advanced 3D modeling capabilities that include 3D modeling services that can improve the look and feel of a 3D card game in architectural visualization and cinematic production. Its powerful rendering capabilities have helped our game designers create visuals that are rich in detail and quality. From setting up the basic screen structure to creating geometries - Unreal engine allows us to modify and assemble a range of primitive mesh to form complex structures. We use its material editor to create custom shaders that improve the visual quality of textures with effects like shadowing and reflections. It is a great platform for various stages of 3D modeling. Unreal engine photorealism replicates natural light, materials, and physics in a way that allows our artists and designers to create more intricate and authentic card game 3D elements like cards, deck, coins, characters, and more. The Unreal engine marketplace offers characters, plugins, blueprints, animations, and more and improves a card game's visual identity, story, interactivity, and gameplay by making them more visually stunning and fun to play.

Logic Simplified is a leading game development company with game app developers who are experts in game logic.
